As architects working on low energy and passive house projects we are very conscious of the impact of our design choices on the climate. Leaking refrigerants are a major contributor to climate change. For us, having the ability to specify a hot water heat pump which uses a benign refrigerant like CO2 is fantastic.

I can say it makes no sound that we’ve ever heard and it is just outside our bedroom. We have 2 adults and 3 children in the home and often have several baths in a day, multiple loads of warm washing and endless dishes and we’ve never come close to running out of hot water.
